general terms

ENROLMENT

Students must contact the School to have confirmation of exact course dates and payment possibilities, give personal details and make an appointment for the placement test. The test, which lasts about 60 minutes, checks your ability levels in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Italian. This will let you take the appropriate class for your level. The test is free. Only after the test, dates and times will be officially communicated.

Course can be paid by:

  • cheque
  • international money order (in euros)
  • bank transfer (in euros)

Bank charges and postal charges are to be met by the student.

The total amount is to be paid in advance before the beginning of the course.

Enrolment is strictly personal.

L'Orlando curioso is a cultural association. Those who decide to attend a course or to take part into School activities must have a membership card, whose cost is 26 euros. The card lasts one year and must be paid along with the course fee. The cost of the membership card is not included in the course price.

 

COURSE CANCELLATION AND COURSE CHANGES

  • 10 or more days before the beginning of the course, the total amount will be refunded except 50 euros.
  • Less than 10 days before the beginning of the course, the total amount will be refunded except 100 euros.
  • In case of visa request, refer to section "STUDY VISA".
  • After the beginning of the course no refund will be possible.
  • If the student decides to shorten the course, he/she is not entitled to any refund.
  • No changes can be made after the beginning of the course.
  • Change requests made before the beginning of the course will be evaluated by the School.
  • L'Orlando curioso reserves the right to cancel a course if the minimum number of students is not reached.

 

INDIVIDUAL COURSES

  • It is possible to cancel or change an individual lesson by notifying the School at the latest at 5 pm on the previous day. After 5 pm the lesson has to be paid.
  • 10-hour modules must be completed within 90 days from the beginning.

 

STUDY VISA

  • Students coming from countries requiring a study visa to enter Italy must get in touch with the Italian Embassy in their countries to apply with the necessary documentation. An enrolment certificate is one of the requirements to obtain a study visa.
  • On request, L'Orlando curioso can provide an enrolment certificate after receiving confirmation of payment by the bank for the whole course.
  • The School must be notified of visa denial with written communication before the beginning of the course. Furthermore, the student must send by registered letter a copy of the document issued by the Italian Embassy proving the denial, along with the original enrolment certificate issued by the School. In this case only, student will be refunded the full amount except 100 euros and except all expenses met by the School (fax, express courier, telephone,...).
  • After the beginning of the course no refund will be possible.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Non-italian citizens who have applied for a stay permit in Italy may subscribe for a private health policy under particular conditions. For more information, please ask the School.

 

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

There is no lesson during public holidays. Total amount of hours is guaranteed.

 

RESPONSABILITY

The School is not liable for the loss of property on the premises.
